Sirotin Intelligence Founder Angelica Sirotin Departs for San Diego as Space Samurai: Oasis, Positioned as the Next Major Hollywood Space Franchise Since Star Trek, Enters Principal Photography
Sirotin Intelligence founder Angelica Sirotin departs for San Diego this month as Space Samurai: Oasis enters principal photography. Sirotin serves as Executive Producer and Product Placement Executive on the movie through Angelic Pictures, Inc., a Universal Studios vendor-affiliate.
Oasis is the first movie in the Space Samurai Trilogy, a science fiction franchise set in 2063 and positioned as the next major Hollywood space franchise since Star Trek. The movie is projected for theatrical release in 2027, with anticipated global viewership of more than 38 million in its first year.
The story unfolds aboard a luxury space station in 2063
Think Die Hard meets Gravity.
The International Space Station is now Oasis, a space resort for billionaires and the ultra rich, the only one of its kind luxuriating among the stars. When the best luxury money can buy malfunctions, Oasis must evacuate. During the emergency, a highly trained team of extremists takes over the space station and holds the world hostage with an unusual weapon secretly installed, activated, and now poised to destroy the major arteries of Earth civilization. These mercenaries are led by a madman, who orders the assassination of a few post-evacuation stragglers.
One woman with a secret becomes Earth's last chance in a global fight for control of a catastrophic weapon. But she is no match for a madman.
Secrets buried in orbit resurface. The Cold War never ended. It just moved higher.
The themes of the movie are the themes this network covers every week
The underlying message of Oasis is one Sirotin Intelligence readers will recognize: the things we build to protect ourselves become the things that define us. Innovation is survival. And the nation that leads in space leads the future.
Those are the same dynamics this network tracks across space technology, defense, and geopolitics each week. The movie and the work we do center around the same conviction, that space is where national power, commercial ambition, and human imagination now converge.
